			<description><![CDATA[ When I was very young there used to be many puzzles in between the stories and pictures in children&#39;s annuals by way of variety. The popular one I remember
was of a word picture puzzle which consisted of a page of small illustrations, say of something like an arrow, and then above it a large letter N - so the word
became &quot;narrow&quot;.

Perhaps a picture of a book with the letter B scratched out and a letter L put in its place - making &quot;look&quot;.

			<description><![CDATA[ While researching the answer to Willam&#39;s posting. Well, looking through Roy Hudd&#39;s Cavalcade of Variey Acts, if that can be called research. I came
across an act I recall that would sometimes pop up on the likes of Sunday Night At the London Palladium. It was Terri Carol. Her speciality was paper tearing.
She would take a roll of paper and turn it into a tree or a ladder that would reach up to the top of the prscenium arch. ]]></description>

known as Apache dancers would gyrate sensuously around the stage in a manner which woud now have the politically correct brigade foaming at the mouth.
