simply, &#39;The first day of the week&#39; - broadcast on a Sunday.  So why is it that so many calenders and diaries show Monday as the first day?  I find it
infuriating and confusing and have, on occasions, missed concerts because, after a quick glance at the calender, I thought they were a day later than they
actually were !
