depended on the weather conditions. Sometimes you couyldn&#39;t pick it up or it would fade in and out. I can&#39;t recall a single named programme but always

What was the reaction of parents? Were 16+ kids allowed to listen or was early morning radio aimed solely at the older listener.

Any memories/ funny stories of breakfast time of that period?

			<description><![CDATA[ I put this here as Gert and Daisy have been mentioned here. I came across an album of Cicely Courtneidge and Jack Hulbert yesterday. They were superstars of
their day and their career carried on until the 60s. My reason for mentioning this is that on the album is a track called Laughing Gas. It&#39;s about the
reading of a will. However laughing gas has been released into the room and the people all start laughing at everything. It reminded me of Michael Bentines

of recordings from that show ....I often play it now ....excellent orchestra.

I often wonder what has happened to so many orchetras of that time, pity we don&#39;t hear much of this on the radio anymore.BBC Radio 2 for a time used to
