According to a newspaper report homeowners must let council inspectors in to check everything from pot plants to fridges.
A report in The Sun say a list of 1043 powers of entry, bought in by Labour ministers, were released by the Home Office.
The checks include: keeping rabbits, too high hedges, whether your fridge has the correct EU energy rating and I kid you not - a sweep to see if you
have weapons of mass destruction! You can be fined if you refuse access when asked.
It is reported that the Tories will cut unnecessary powers of the state to enter homes, starting with council tax inspector's right of entry.
