But this was the first time I had watched a film in a multiplex surrounded by Dolby sound and the whole experience was ruined by the far too excessive volume which actually physically hurt our ears. Ridiculously loud to the point of being objectionable.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, preceded by an interminable plethora of adverts and trailers for upcomng features which took up a whole half hour. Also at the same crazy ear splitting volume.
Have others experienced this or are my shell likes super sensitive ?
Oh - and my last moan. All the adverts have become hideously politically correct. There was an especially ironic one from Lloyds bank which shows a black stallion cantering Black Beauty style past children making daisy chains , etc, to lilting strains of orchestral music while a seductive voiceover tells you how much they care and have looked after you for centuries, while at the same time in real life they are closing down their branches faster than Eliot Ness closed illicit alcohol outlets.
