Some time ago under the Rod Taylor thread I asked about JM to no avail. Both him and RT were in a film where he and RT were in competion with each other performing a film service to the Australian out back. To herald his forthcoming JM sang a very catchy tune. My query was the name of the tune anybody help. John m?

Following is the information which I have relating to this film from my Microsoft Cinemania 96 CD-Rom. No reference to the music but other avenues to explore - watch this space. Jim The Picture Show Man Australia (1977): Drama Leonard Maltin Review: 2.0 stars out of 4 99 min, Rated PG, Color Director John Power Cast Includes Rod Taylor John Meillon John Ewart Harold Hopkins Patrick Cargill Judy Morris Review Meandering tale of a traveling showman in 1920s Australia who brings moving pictures to small towns throughout the country. A lovely idea for a movie (based on the memoirs of Lyle Penn) that has moments of charm and period atmosphere, but no story, and not much energy either. Top-billed Taylor (an Aussie by birth) appears sporadically throughout the film as Meillon's rivalfrom Texas! |

Did you notice the difference in the spelling of the surname?
Using this spelling takes you to many more sites than the way it was spelled originally. May help you. |

John did the voice of Arthur in the 60s cartoon series ive seen him in a few B/W films over the years good actor.
