I've just heard the news of Reg Flewin's death. Reg was the locally born skipper of Portsmouth Football Club when they won the League Championship two
years running in 1948-9 and 1949-50.
By all accounts he saw the Cup Final earlier this month and was delighted that Pompey had won. He lived here on the Isle of Wight and was reportedly 87 years old.
