There was a time when he was going to be the next big thing being capped by England at 19 and being the best ball juggler in English soccer. His career sort of unexpectedly faded out and he never made it as big as his early promise. Another one like that who was a fantastic junior and then disappeared was David Cliss of Chelsea - was he a Spurs junior? As a schoolboy everyone was raving about him. Another good case of "Where Are They Now"?

From memory I seem to recall that a few years ago he was the victim of a severe beating at the hands of some yobbo's?

Cliss never made it to the degree that Quixall did. As for ball jugglers, I think the prize in that era would have had to go to David Burnside of WBA. I had a thought the other day, I had actually seen both Jimmy Greaves and Bobby Moore playing for Chelsea and West Ham youth teams. That makes me feel old!
