Music and film topic all rolled into one. I watched this on BBC2 this afternoon. I don't think I've ever seem it right the way through before and hadn't realised how many marvellous songs it had in it. OK, it was a pretty thin plot and was mainly a vehicle for Sinatra to sing but a thoroughly enoyable easy bit of entertainment - why don't they make them like that any more?

I think it's got something to do with them being dead unfortunately (Kim Novak apart ). Whilst on holiday this year we met some people who, during a
conversation, asked who I liked. My wife replied, "Oh, they have to be dead for ten years before he listens or watches anyone ".
