A thread in which to post 50s tracks which have found their way onto YouTube, using the miracle of Yuku technology for the delectation (maybe
even education!) of fellow Turnips. Contributions, of any musical genre from the decade, might be obscure rarities, or popular personal favourites. But
don't hog the jukebox: post only one or two at a time.

For the uninitiated: here's what you do...
First, find your YouTube clip. Click and Copy the data in the box marked 'Embed' to the right of the viewing screen.
Now return to this thread and hit 'Add reply' (not Quick reply).
Click the 'Insert flash' icon above the reply box, to the right of the 'Smilie'. In the bar which then appears below all the buttons, click
'add from HTML' on the righthand side, and paste your stored 'embed' details into the box which comes up.
Hit 'Insert'. And there you have it!

are there any fans here of Rose Maddox , i have Been a fan for years .The Maddox Brothers And Rose Were A very colourful Act who were at thier Zenith in the
50's with a high octane blend of Gospel/Hillbilly /Rockabily they recorded prolificaly too my favourite track was always "Honky Tonkin' " and
i was thrilled to find a clip of Rose in Latter years Performing this Classic Live .

I know this is a little later, but since I recall Cherry Wainer being mentioned many times before on this message board, I
thought these might be of interest (unless, of course, they've been featured before and I've missed it). This YouTube poster in New York seems to have
a quantity of videos featuring Cherry, so have a look at this one for starters.

In the 60's (c.'65) I used to see boogy pianist Johnny Parker playing in Wally Fawkes band at Pied Bull, Islington.
His Bad Penny Blues piano part was the inspiration for the Beatles 'Lady Madonna'. The Beatles themselves were rumoured to have recorded a BP Blues cover.
