Nice pic, Chardonnay. He was married the year I was born and still going strong. Wow!
I had clean forgotten one of his most memorable catch phrases from "Educating Archie" until I just saw it again - "I've arrived and to prove it I'm here!" - Cue gales of studio laughter (week in, week out). I always found him an inoffensive, pleasant performer in much the same vein as Des O'Connor. Nice to see him and his family in such good health and doing well. |

Glad you liked it William. Max's catchphrases appear on his records a lot. I've been listening to them a fair bit lately. Some aren't that bad...

My favorite LP is Max & Ted, with the Ted Heath Band. Cover has them in striped jackets and boaters. Used to play it a lot - must go find it and play it
again. Didn't like most of Max's other recordings but have got Tulips from Amsterdam on one of the juke boxes.
