Some very sad news I'm afraid. Viv has died.
We do not know the full details yet, (there will be a post mortem today), as she was found after some days of not answering the phone, lying at the foot of her stairs.
She had said to me on two occasions that she didnt think she would live to a ripe old age.
She lived alone and had no close relatives, but had many friends and since her conversion to Catholicism had had a full and active life within her parish. We often discussed religion and it didnt matter to her that I wasn't religious myself as she knew I repsected her views. She had been to the theatre to see An Inspector Calls at the beginning of Feb and she'd enjoyed it a lot but both myself and other friends had said her emails had become quite short of late and less frequent but we'd all put it down to the fact that she was very worried about her elderly godmother.
We used to meet up from time to time at a garden centre which was half way for both of us and we were planning to do so soon as soon as the weather brightened up. I will miss her a lot.
