I recall I could find absolutely nothing on the Web about it then but I recall it quite clearly. It was a short programme, factual about curious buildings, places and follies around Britain. I think it may have been Joan who said she remembered a cackling witch and a cauldron at the start.
At long last I have come across another reference to it and it has confirmed now that it ran on a Sunday evening. Hallelujah!
I am sure this must still exist in the archives somewhere because I remember it as a pre filmed series going out in weekly episodes of about fifteen minutes only. I doubt this was wiped. I bet it's there in the BFI gathering dust on some obscure shelf. Any chance of a search you BFI guys?
Here's what I found btw
For the adults there was Fabian Of The Yard with Bruce Seton, Quatermass with Andre Morell (a science fiction serial), What's My Line chaired by Eamonn Andrews with four panellists trying to determine the contestant's occupation, Stranger Than Fiction (curiosities from around Britain, shown every Sunday evening), Tall Story Club (in which each of four celebrities told a story and the others had to decide whether it was true) and They Come By Appointment, a drama about a psychiatrist and his case book.
